দুটি বিষয় ছাড়া আর কিছুই ঈর্ষাযোগ্য নয়

وعنِ ابن عمر رضي اللَّه عنهما عن النَّبِيِّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قال : « لا حَسَدَ إلاُّ في اثنَتَيْن : رجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّه القُرآنَ ، فهوَ يقومُ بِهِ آناءَ اللَّيلِ وآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ ، وَرجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّه مالا ، فهُو يُنْفِقهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النهارِ » متفقٌ عليه .

« والآناءُ » : السَّاعاتُ .

Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said:

"Envy is justified in regard to two types of persons only: a man whom Allah has given knowledge of the Qur'an, and so he recites it during the night and during the day; and a man whom Allah has given wealth and so he spends from it during the night and during the day.''

আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে উমার (রা) রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন;

তিনি বলেছেন,

দুটি বিষয় ছাড়া আর কিছুই ঈর্ষাযোগ্য নয়। প্রথম হচ্ছে সেই ব্যক্তি যাকে আল্লাহ কুরআনের সম্পদ দান করেছেন এবং সে দিবা-রাত্র তা তিলাওয়াত করে। দ্বিতীয় হচ্ছে সেই ব্যক্তি যাকে আল্লাহ ধন- সম্পদ দান করেছেন এবং সে দিন-রাতের বিভিন্ন সময় তা (আল্লাহর পথে) ব্যয় করে।

وعن أَبي موسى رضي اللَّه عنه قال : قال رسول اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم : «الْمُؤْمنُ للْمُؤْمِن كَالْبُنْيَانِ يَشدُّ بعْضُهُ بَعْضاً » وَشَبَّكَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِه . متفق عليه .

Abu Lubabah Bashir bin `Abdul-Mundhir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said,

"He who does not recite the Qur'an in a pleasant tone is not of us.''

আবু লুবাবা বশীর ইবন আব্দুল মুনযির (রা) বর্ণিত;

তিনি বলেন রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ)-কে তার সাহাবীদের বলেছেন, তিনি বলেছেন,

যে সুললিত কন্ঠে কুরআন পাঠ করে না সে আমার দলভুক্ত নয়।

আবু সাঈদ খুদরী (রা) বর্ণিত;

তিনি বলেন রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) তার সাহাবীদের বলেছেন, তোমাদের কেউ কি এক রাতে কুরআনের এক-তৃতীয়াংশ তিলাওয়াত করতে অসাধ্য মনে কর? এ প্রশ্ন তাদের কাছে কঠিন ছিল। এরপর তারা বলল, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! আমাদের মধ্যে কার সাধ্য আছে যে, এমনটি পারবে? তখন তিনি বললেন, ‘কূল হুয়াল্লাহু আহাদ’ অর্থাৎ সূরা ইখলাস কুরআন শরীফের এক-তৃতীয়াংশ।

وعن ابنِ عباسٍ رضي اللَّه عنهما قال : سَمعْتُ رَسُول اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يَقُول : « مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ مُسْلمٍ يَمُوتُ ، فَيقومُ عَلَى جَنَازتِهِ أَرْبَعونَ رَجُلا لا يُشركُونَ باللَّه شَيئاً إِلاَّ شَفَّعَهُمْ اللَّهُ فيهِ » رواه مسلم .

 

Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "If a Muslim dies and forty people, who do not associate anything with Allah in worship, participate in the funeral prayer over him, Allah will accept their intercession for him.''

[Muslim].

আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে আব্বাস (রা) বর্ণিত;

তিনি বলেন আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) বলতে শুনেছি, এমন চল্লিশ জন লোক যদি কোন ব্যক্তির জানাযার সালাত আদায় করে, যারা আল্লাহর সাথে কাউকে শরীক করে না সেই মৃতের পক্ষে আল্লাহ তাদের শাফা’য়াত কবুল করে নেন।

وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ

If you obey (other than the Rasool then you should know that) most of the people on earth will lead you away from the Way of Allah, for they follow nothing but guesswork and preach nothing but falsehood.

যদি তুমি দুনিয়ায় বসবাসকারী অধিকাংশ লোকের কথায় চলো তাহলে তারা তোমাকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করে ফেলবে৷ তারা তো চলে নিছক আন্দাজ-অনুমানের ভিত্তিতে এবং তারা কেবল আন্দাজ-অনুমানই করে থাকে৷

Narrated Mu'adh bin Jabal:

The Prophet said, "O Mu'adh! Do you know what Allah's Right upon His slaves is?" I said, "Allah and His Apostle know best." The Prophet said, "To worship Him (Allah) Alone and to join none in worship with Him (Allah). Do you know what their right upon Him is?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle know best." The Prophet said, "Not to punish them (if they do so)."

Shahi Bukhari Volume 9, Book 93, Number 470

মুয়ায ইবন জাবাল (রা) বর্ণিত;

তিনি বলেন রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) বললেন, হে মুয়ায! তোমার কি জানা আছে, বান্দার উপর আল্লাহর হক কি? তিনি বললেন, আল্লাহ ও তার রাসূলই ভাল জানেন। রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) বললেন,বান্দা আল্লাহর সাথে  কাউকে অংশীদার না বানিয়ে একমাত্র তারই ইবাদাত করবে।  রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) পুনরায় তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন আল্লাহর উপর বান্দাহর হক কি তাকি তুমি জান? তিনি বললেনঃ আল্লাহ ও তার রাসূলই ভাল জানেন। রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) বললেন, তা হচ্ছে বান্দাহদেরকে শাস্তি প্রদান না করা।

Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas (Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messengger of Allah (may peace be upon him) rejected (the idea) of Uthman b. Muz'unliving in celibacy (saying): And if he (the Holy Prophet) had given me permission We would have got ourselves castrated.

সা’দ ইব ন আবূ ওয়াক্কাস (রা) বর্ণিত;

তিনি বলেন রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) উসমান ইবন মাযউন (রা) এর কৌমার্যব্রত (অবিবাহিত জীবন-যাপন) অবলম্বনের প্রস্তাব প্রত্যাখ্যান করেন। তিনি তাকে অনুমতি দিলে আমরা নিজেদের খোজা(নপুংসক/প্রজনন ক্ষমতা হরণ করা) করে নিতাম।

الأوَّل : عن أَبِي ذرٍّ جُنْدَبِ بنِ جُنَادَةَ رضي اللَّه عنه قال : قلت يا رسولَ اللَّه، أيُّ الأعْمالِ أفْضَلُ ؟ قال : « الإِيمانُ بِاللَّهِ ، وَالجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ » . قُلْتُ : أيُّ الرِّقَابِ أفْضَلُ ؟ قال : « أنْفَسُهَا عِنْد أهْلِهَا ، وأكثَرُهَا ثَمَناً » . قُلْتُ : فَإِنْ لَمْ أفْعلْ ؟ قال : « تُعينُ صَانِعاً أوْ تَصْنَعُ لأخْرَقَ » قُلْتُ : يا رسول اللَّه أرَأيتَ إنْ ضَعُفْتُ عَنْ بَعْضِ الْعملِ ؟ قال : « تَكُفُّ شَرَّكَ عَن النَّاسِ فَإِنَّها صدقةٌ مِنْكَ على نَفسِكَ » . متفقٌ عليه .

     « الصانِعُ » بالصَّاد المهملة هذا هو المشهور ، ورُوِى « ضَائعاً » بالمعجمة : أيْ ذَا ضياع مِنْ فقْرِ أوْ عِيالٍ ، ونْحو ذلكَ « والأخْرَقُ » : الَّذي لا يُتقنُ ما يُحاوِلُ فِعْلهُ .

আবু যার জুনদুব (রা) থেকে বর্ণিত; তিনি বলেন আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম ইয়া রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) কোন কাজটি সবচেয়ে উত্তম? তিনি বলেনঃ আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান ও তার পথে জিহাদ।

আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, কোন গোলাম আযাদ করা উত্তম? তিনি বলেনঃ যে গোলাম তার মালিকের কাছে বেশী প্রিয় এবং যার মূল্য বেশী।

আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, আমি যদি দারিদ্রের কারণে এ কাজ করতে না পারি? তিনি বলেনঃ কোন কারিগরকে সাহায্য করবে অথবা এমন লোককে কাজ শিখিয়ে দিবে জানে না।

আমি বললাম, ইয়া রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ)! আপনি কি মনে করেন আমি যদি এ কাজও করতে না পারি? তিনি বলেনঃ মানুষের ক্ষতি করা থেকে বিরত থাক। তা তোমার পক্ষ থেকে তোমার জন্যই সদাকা।

 [আবু দাঊদ] রিয়াদুস সালেহীন ১17

Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Which action is the best?'' He (PBUH) said, "Faith in Allah and Jihad in the way of Allah.'' I asked: "Which neck (slave) is best (for emancipation)?'' He said, "That which is dearest of them in price and most valuable of them to its masters". I asked: "If I cannot afford (it)?'' He said, "Then help a labourer or work for one who is disabled". I asked: "If I cannot do (it)?'' He said, "You should restrain yourself from doing wrong to people, because it (serves as) charity which you bestow upon yourself".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary:   This Hadith shows the excellence of Jihad and emancipation of slaves. It also highlights the importance of co-operation and sympathy with others. Similarly, one who refrains from putting others into trouble, his reward for it is no less than that of propitiatory offering and kindness. It also tells that faith in Allah is the basis for the acceptance of good deeds. In fact, conduct is the fruit of one's Faith. Without Faith nothing will be acceptable by Allah

 وعنْ صفيَّةَ بنْتِ أبي عُبيدٍ ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أزْواجِ النبيِّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم ورضي اللَّه عنْهَا عَنِ النبيِّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قَال : « مَنْ أتَى عَرَّافاً فَسأَلَهُ عنْ شَىْءٍ ، فَصدَّقَهُ ، لَمْ تُقْبلْ لَهُ صلاةٌ أرْبَعِينَ يوْماً» رواهُ مسلم .

Narrated Safiyyah, daughter of Abu `Ubaid, on the authority of some of the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) who said,

 "He who goes to one who claims to tell about matters of the Unseen and believes in him, his Salat (prayers) will not be accepted for forty days.''

[Muslim].

সাফিয়া বিনতে আবু উবাইদ (রা) থেকে বর্ণিত,আল্লাহর রাসুল (সা)- বলেছেনঃ

“যে ব্যক্তি গণকের কাছে গিয়ে কোন বিষয় জানতে চাইল এবং তাকে বিশ্বাস করল, চল্লিশ দিন পর্যন্ত তার সালাত কবুল হবে না”

[মুসলিম] রিয়াদুস সালেহীন ১৬৬৯

وعنْ قَبِيصَةَ بن المُخَارِقً رضي اللَّه عنْهُ قَالَ : سمِعْتُ رسُول اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يقُولُ : الْعِيَافَةُ ، والطَّيرَةُ ، والطَّرْقُ ، مِنَ الجِبْتِ » .

رواهُ أبو داود بإسناد حسن   ، وقال : الطَّرْقُ : هُوَ الزَّجْرُ ، أيْ : زجْرُ الطَّيْرِ ، وهُوَ أنْ يَتَيمَّنَ أوْ يتَشاءَمَ بِطَيرانِهِ ، فَإنْ طَار إلى جهةِ الْيمِينَ تَيَمَّنَ ، وَإنْ طَارَ إلى جهةِ الْيَسَارِ تَشَاءَم: قال أبو داود : « وَالْعِيافَةُ » : الخَطُّ .

 قال الجَوْهَريُّ في « الصِّحاح » : الجِبْتُ كَلِمةٌ تَقَع على الصَّنَم والكَاهِن والسَّاحِرِ ونَحْوِ ذلكَ .

কাবীসা ইবন মুখারিক (রা) থেকে বর্ণিত; তিনি বলেছেন
আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) বলতে শুনেছি,তিনি বলেছেন
‘ইয়াফাহ’ -রেখা টেনে ‘তাইরাহ’- কোন কিছু দেখে এবং ‘তারক’ -পাখি হাকিয়ে শুভাশুভ নির্ণয় আল্লাহদ্রোহিমূলক কাজ

[আবু দাঊদ] রিয়াদুস সালেহীন ১৬৭০

Qabisah bin Al-Mukhariq (May Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "The practice of `Iyafah, the interpretation of omens from the flight of birds, the practice of divination by drawing lines on the ground and taking evil omens are all practices of Al-Jibt (the idol, the diviner, or sorcerer).''
[Abu Dawud].

Commentary:  Iyafah is an occult practice in which the practitioner rapidly draws lines on the soft ground in the presence of his client in such a manner that the lines cannot be counted then he effaces the lines in pairs. If at the end of the exercise two lines are left on the ground, it is taken as a good omen; if it is a single line, it is a bad omen. Some people have also described certain other forms of this occult formula. In any case, it was one of the formulas practiced by the soothsayers of the Period of Ignorance. This practice, like others of this kind, was prohibited and Muslims were made to understand that such things could neither benefit nor harm anyone, and were mere tricks and frauds; and any reliance on them was absolute superstition and heresy. How sad it is that a large number of Muslims of the present age have faith in such occult practices and believe in superstitions. May Allah grant us guidance and save us from such evils. Al-Jibt covers a wide meaning. It means anything worshipped other than the true God (Allah), i.e., all false deities, be they an idol, Satan, graves, stars, angels, saints, Jesus the son of Mary, etc

وعنْ ابْنِ عبَّاسِ رضي اللَّه عنْهُما قَالَ : قَال رَسُولُ اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم : « من اقْتَبَسَ عِلْماً مِنَ النُّجُومِ ، اقْتَبسَ شُعْبَةً مِنَ السِّحْرِ زَادَ ما زَاد » رَوَاهُ أبو داود بإسناد صحيح .

Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who acquires a branch of the knowledge of astrology, learns a branch of magic (of which he acquires more as long as) he continues to do so.''
[Abu Dawud].

আব্দুল্লাহ ইবন আব্বাস (রা) থেকে বর্ণিত,তিনি বলেন আমি আল্লাহর রাসুল (সা)- বলেছেনঃ

“যে ব্যক্তি জ্যোতিষী বিদ্যা অর্জন করে সে প্রকারন্তরে যাদুবিদ্যাই অর্জন করে।যত অধিক জ্যোতিষী বিদ্যা অর্জন করবে তত অধিকই যেন যাদুবিদ্যা অর্জন করল”
